![]() My project base point of the building file was still at revits internal origin. So, for whatever reason, when I saved the file and revit linked in the axm(as is expected behavior per the first paragraph), the formit file came in at -100'. I did have the cad link turned on in my 3d view before sending it to formit through revit. ![]() The site model file only consisted of a flat topo and a cad link. Regarding the second issue, I did start formit from a revit 3d view, it had my building turned on, as well as a link turned on which contained my site model. I am not sure how it would work the next time I opened formit though, maybe that association with the project file would be lost - not sure if I am makings sense. I am working on a cloud workshare project, I believe I synced after formit had brought the axm into my project, but maybe if I hadn't synced then there would be no issue because that way the link wouldn't be saved. Regarding the first item, I guess I was really only trying to bring in context from revit into formit to try different options in formit, I was not ready to bring that into the revit model yet. Hi Heather, thanks for getting back to me quickly! If you still have questions please let us know! Once the file is imported you can edit it further in FormIt directly from the object in Revit with a connection that is the same as 3D Sketch. axm file with FormIt geometry and specify the height to import. The other suggestion would be to use the Link CAD workflow instead of 3D Sketch. If you are currently doing this and seeing the FormIt geometry come into Revit somewhere different than where you put it that could be an issue we would need to investigate. My suggestion would be to start 3D Sketch with some amount of your existing Revit model (either all visible or select something useful as a reference and choose that option). The second issue may also be expected but maybe we do not fully understand. We might be able to offer another approach for it. Since you do not like this behavior, please explain why you wanted to Save in FormIt without sending to Revit. Regarding your first observation, the file save is how FormIt sends data to Revit so the behavior you described is expected. Sorry you are having confusion about how the FormIt Revit interop works.
